Parties, Etc.: Helen Ford Wallace: May 27th

WHITE FIELDS CELEBRATION

Who: 400 people, community and civic leaders, mentors, volunteers, supporters, and donors of White Fields were at a dinner celebration.

Where: The event was on the White Fields campus under a tent. Decor was country chic with globe lighting, wagon wheel chandeliers, hay bales and centerpieces of herbs, which were repurposed in the campus gardens.

What: Guests commemorated the fifth-year anniversary. They toured the boys living quarters and new educational facility. Music was by Banana Seat and special presentations were given to Bobby Young, a White Fields mentor, and board members Robert Braver and Ken Davidson for their support of White Fields. Co-founders Tom Ward and Trent Ward were also on the program, and one of the boys gave a speech about his life.

Why: The celebration was an event to thank supporters, volunteers and donors.

How: Mission of White Fields is to provide a ?continuum model of care offering a long-term home for abused and neglected boys.? These boys are in permanent custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division.

SYMPHONY SHOW HOUSE EVENING

Party: Jose Freede and daughters, Cathy Freede and Margaret Owens, entertained at the final dinner for the 2012 Symphony Show House. About 150 guests toured the house and then enjoyed dinner in the air-conditioned tent set up outside. Freede, a Show House supporter for the last 39 years, thanked the guests for attending, including Debby and Paul Dudman for providing drinks for the event.

Elegant entertaining: Beautiful bouquets of pink and coral-colored roses, anemones and tulips decorated the tables and a huge bouquet of flowers was on the buffet table. Dinner was beef tenderloin, salmon, chicken, fresh garden peas and asparagus, and a variety of desserts including chocolate mousse.
